About Us
Steel City Schools Partnership is a Multi-Academy Trust formed and incorporated on the 1st April 2013 following a long-established partnership between Sheffield primary schools. At Steel City Schools Partnership, we believe that every academy and school is special because they have their own history, they serve their own unique community context and each one is full of individuals.
We value and celebrate the unique identities of all our academies. We encourage them to be innovative, creative and develop their uniqueness because we want others to learn from them. Excellence is about diversity, not conformity. We do not believe that one size fits all.
We strive for our academies to be the best they can be.
So Why SCSP?
1. Primary ethos is crucial to the success
SCSP is a Multi-Academy Trust currently for primary schools and we are proud to be founded on the principles of primary education. Positive relationships, and understanding, adapting and responding to the diverse needs of individuals are central to all we do. Every child really does matter within SCSP.
2. Effective parental and carer collaboration and communication
Supporting parents to be fully engaged with their child’s education is paramount to success. We pride ourselves on our collaboration and communication with parents. A firm belief of working in partnership with parents, drives us to develop a wide range of opportunities to engage all our parents. This essential collaborative approach underpins the primary ethos and we feel passionate that this is not lost. Parents matter!
3. Commitment to raising aspirations beyond the school gates
The most successful schools impact beyond the classroom and into the wider school community. All academies in our trust serve very different and diverse communities. We aim to celebrate the uniqueness of each community whilst inspiring and raising aspirations for all children and their families. Our aim is that Steel City Schools Partnership will be the catalyst for whole community improvement by offering services, providing support and bringing communities together. Strengthening schools through strengthening communities is fundamental to the aims of SCSP.
4. The power of partnership
SCSP offers the opportunity for primary schools to work together to develop and share practice; to provide development and leadership opportunities for staff and to challenge each other to provide the highest quality teaching and learning experiences for children, families, staff and the wider community.
SCSP recognise the importance of strong partnerships and actively support the academies within SCSP to forge local and regional links for the benefit of all. We recognise that these relationships lead to further improvements across the Trust and this can only build upon the success of Steel City Schools Partnership.
